OASIS DATE GARDENS 2009 Valentine's Specials
The first month of the New Year has come and gone!! All the palm trees have been cleaned of the dried arm branches that contained the dates. Some of the lowest palm leaves have been removed as well, in preparation for the new growth. The trees are starting to send their pods, which contain the flowers and pollen, upward from out of the top of the center of the tree. We are already collecting pollen to store until all the flowers are ready for pollination.
February is the month for our National Date Festival in Indio. As always we will have our usual booth with all the goodies we are famous for. The dates for the fair are February 13- February 22nd. If you plan to attend please stop by our booth, located on the main fairway near the Taj Majal building, for a visit. We also welcome visitors at our ranch/retail store at 59 111 Hwy 111 in Thermal. We are open from 9AM –4 PM seven days a week. We offer free educational talks daily at 10:30 and 2:30. We have a nice lunch counter where you can order our great date shake.
